(MENAFN) Qatar Airways, CEO, Akbar Al Baker, stated that starting February, the carrier would operate a Boeing 787 aircraft on its Perth route, reported Arabian Business.
Al Baker said that the move makes the company the first carrier to operate commercial flights via a Boeing 787 to and from Australia.
The carrier, which launched 3-weekly flights to the Australian city in July, raised capacity to daily flights during the current month.
He said that passengers from Perth are able to easily link via Doha to over 80 destinations globally, including more than 30 in Europe.
It is worth noting that the Qatari airline has 254 custom-made seats across its 787 Business and Economy Class cabins, with specially designed interiors.
