(MENAFN) Qatar Electricity and Water Co. (QEWC), the Gulf state’s monopoly utility firm, logged a 6.1 percent decrease in net profit for the second quarter of the year, Arabian Business reported.
The figures are issued according to calculations by Reuters, which bluntly point out at the missing of the analysts’ estimates for the utility.
Profit for the second quarter were USD107.4 million, compared to USD114.3 million recorded in the corresponding quarter last year, Reuters calculations showed.
QEWC recorded USD202.2 million net profit in the first half of 2015, up from USD196.5 million for the same period of last year, it said in a corporate statement.
