(MENAFN) Qatar and Pakistan mutual trade volume is ready to view a major boost in the coming days with the newly-opened Hamad Port direct shipping links to Karachi and other ports in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the mutual trade is projected to get further expanded and deepen largely driven by merchandise trade as private firms from both nations.
In addition, Qatar’s trade with Pakistan has viewed a sharp increase over the last few years, while bilateral trade volume hit QR2.8bn in 2016 and QR887mn in 2015.
On the other hand, Qatar’s exports to Pakistan last year reached QR2.5bn, while Pakistan’s exports to Qatar were only QR317.7mn.
