(MENAFN) The Qatari private healthcare sector recorded a growth of about 46 percent in its licensed facilities in 2014, according to the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), The Peninsula reported.
Qatar is presently planning to expand its private healthcare facilities with about 73 new units set for construction. SCH is also aiming to host an event for healthcare in order to raise more awareness and backing for the sector.
Qatar, which suffers from a very rapidly growing population, increased its health workforce by 16 percent last year in order to cope with the rising demands.
