Qatar to invest USD50 b in infrastructure

(MENAFN) Qatar is expected to construct USD50 billion worth projects this year, according to Arabian Business.

The country plans to improve its infrastructure to be prepared to host the soccer World Cup in 2022.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al Thani said that the projects will focus on transport, energy and other sectors.

Qatar plans to spend USD140 billion on projects including a new airport, port facilities, railways, stadiums and other infrastructure.
