(MENAFN) Qatar Tourism Authority proclaimed that the nation delivered 2.93mn visitors a year earlier, a 3.7 percent compared to 2014.
Accordingly, the Qatari tourism sector increased in 2015 despite global events that had a major impact on the patterns for travel destinations worldwide.
In addition, the sector has been growing 11.5 percent yearly since 2010, while GCC visitors grew 16 percent year-on-year, and African nations were up 5 percent.
The most nationalities that visited Qatar were GCC nationals with 44 percent, while Indians came second with 13 percent of the whole, trailed by British, US and Egyptians.
