(MENAFN) Bulgaria’s Construction Minister, Lilyana Pavlova, stated that her country, along with Turkey and Qatar, agreed to construct a USD965.03 million highway in Bulgaria, reported Arabian Business.
Pavlova said that works on the 300km road, which will link the town of Ruse, on the Danube River, bordering Romania, with the southern town of Svilengrad, bordering Greece and Turkey, are forecasted to take 4 years.
She added that the project is not backed by the European Union (EU), as it will be realized as a joint project with the participation of the 3 nations.
It is worth noting that the three countries will also study the establishment of a new motorway that would link the Danube River Bridge with Istanbul.
