(MENAFN) Dubai hosted 4.1mn visitors in the first quarter of this year, a 5.1 percent increase over last year, due to strong double digit growth from the GCC and India.
Furthermore, the GCC continued to be the leading feeder region, receiving 25 percent of all overnight visitations to Dubai in the first quarter.
Additionally, visitors from KSA increased 14 percent to 476,000 from Jan to March this year, trailed by strong growth from Oman, which grew by 32 percent.
However, despite challenging global market situations, and a strong US dollar, visitors from Western Europe continued to be second region with 23 percent visitor.
