Qatari firms to top list of investors in Arab Countries

(MENAFN) The combined value of Qatari firms’ investments reached an estimated USD 47.5bn through the past few years, which launched a whole of 301 projects investment activities.

Additionally, some of the major countries received Qatari investments this period were; Egypt, UK, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, US, Palestine and others.

Qatar involved FDIs worth USD 1.04bn last year, in order of inward investments, as for Qatar’s activity in terms of new FDIs (Greenfield), a whole of 701 FDI projects were applied by 602 firms.

The number of FDI projects in Arab countries reached 780 last year, and witnessed grows from 463 projects in 2003 to 1,335 in 2008.
