(MENAFN) Qatar’s Al Khor Al Bayt stadium construction contract, which is worth USD849 million, has been won by an Italian firm named The Salini Impregilo Group, The Peninsula reported.
The USD849 million deal includes USD789.53 million for construction and over USD58.4 million for operation and maintenance. It will be one of the sports complexes in which FIFA World Cup 2022 matches will be played.
The project was awarded by Aspire Zone responsible for development of sports infrastructure in the country. The stadium can accommodate 70,000 spectators, with an area of 200,000 square meters.
