(MENAFN) Ashghal, The Public Works Authority, signed 11 transactions worth USD1.64 billion for undertaking prime infrastructure projects in Qatar, the Peninsula reported.
All the projects come under the umbrella of the Inner Doha Re-sewerage Implementation Strategy (IDRIS), the Construction and Development of Infrastructure in Local Areas programme and Roads Development projects.
The projects are set to offer an integrated system of well-developed roads, which are adhering to the global safety protocols provided worldwide.
The majority of contracts (82 percent) have been granted to Qatari companies or joint ventures with other international companies.
