(MENAFN) The Qatari Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics said that the country’s economy is expected to expand by six percent in 2013, Arabian business reported.
The Gulf nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to to ease to 4.6 percent next year due to a contraction in output from maturing oil fields and gas production levels.
Strong investment spending and a growing influx of workers to Qatar will keep the domestic demand strong.
The ministry’s previous economic outlook, growth for thisyear was expected to be at 5.3 percent and 4.5 percent next year.
