Qatar’s exports reach QR20.2bn in May

(MENAFN) The whole value of exports of goods, involving exports of goods of local origin and re-exports in May this year, reached QR20.2bn, an increase of 18.4 percent.

In the cited month of the year, the imports of goods reached to almost 7.6 percent compared to April this year, as exposed data by the Ministry of Development.

Moreover, the foreign merchandise trade balance, which shows the difference between whole exports and imports, recorded a surplus of QR10.7bn.

The year on year increase in whole exports was due to higher exports of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons, reaching QR12bn.
