Qatar’s GDP hits QR135.37bn in Q2

(MENAFN) Qatar’s GDP recorded for the second quarter of this year QR135.37bn, while it has witnessed an increase of 2.7 percent.

Additionally, the Gross Value Added contribution of the Mining and Quarrying sector, which include oil and gas industries, was estimated at QR40.29bn.

However, the drop, in nominal values was attributed to the fall in the global price levels of crude oil and to reduction in volume.

Meanwhile, mining and quarrying sector posted a decline of 1.2 percent over Q2 and an increase of 3.4 percent over the last quarter.
