(MENAFN) Qatar’s GDP is expected to hit USD220.6 billion by 2015, after raising USD209 billion by the end of 2014, Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (AIECGC) said in its report, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
Qatar ranks top among the Arab countries in terms of capita income, Qatar’s capita income would reach USD106,700 by 2015. The yearly average per capita income of Arab citizens during 2005-2009 was USD5,067. Increased to USD6,178 in 2010.
In 2011 the Arab citizens per capita income grew to reach USD7,630. In 2012 it increased to USD8,186 before decreasing to USD8,171 in 2013. The figure would go up to USD8,402 by the end of this year and is expected to reach USD8,591 by 2015.
The foreign currency reserves of Arab countries jumped during the period of 2000-2009 from an annual average of USD730 billion to USD1374 billion in 2013. It is expected to rise to USD1482 billion by year-end.
