(MENAFN) Qatar’s economic inflation witnessed a decrease by 0.9 percent in April, against the economic CPI that was recorded a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Planning, Arab News reported.
The decrease in prices in the economy of Qatar can be attributed to lower food prices, especially in foreign countries. The CPI is expected to hit an average of 2.5 percent in 2015.
According to the IMF’s forecasts, this trend of shortfalls is set to persist for the remainder of this current year.
