(MENAFN) The global technology powerhouse, Siemens, announced winning a deal worth USD519.9 million from Qatar General Water & Electricity Corporation (Kahramaa).
As part of the national project to expand Qatar’s power distribution network, Siemens will deliver 18 turnkey substations to supply power and help to cater for increasing electricity demand.
Siemens’ technology is supporting Kahramaa with continuous improvements to its infrastructure in order to meet the country’s goals for 2022 World Cup and the Qatar Government’s vision for 2030.
“We are working very closely to support the expansion of Qatar’s power distribution network with appropriate equipment and solutions,” Senior Executive Vice-President of Siemens Middle East said.
