Qatar’s PPI grows by 1.8pct in Feb this year

(MENAFN) Qatar’s Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 1.8 percent in Feb on a monthly basis and 34 percent on a yearly basis, according to data by the Ministry of Development.

Moreover, producer price index comprises goods relating to mining, manufacturing and elect & water, which have a weight of 27.7pct, 26.8pct and 0.5 percent, respectively.

Additionally, in mining goods, PPI of the cited month showed a growth of 1.4 percent, compared to the previous month of the same year.

The increase is attributed to the growth of price of Crude petroleum and natural gas, while PPI on a yearly basis showed a notable increase of 39.3 percent.
