(MENAFN) Qatar’s tourism recorded a 7 percent growth in the number of arrivals in the first half of the year, according to a report issued by Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA), The Peninsula reported.
The report, named Mid-Year Tourism Performance Report for 2015, also shows that the country is set to welcome more than three million visitors by the end of the year.
Furthermore, the growth of tourism is also solidified by the improving hotel performance, which saw overall occupancy rates growing along with the addition of more than of 1,400 new rooms.
“For the first half of 2015 as a whole, all segments performed well, with particularly strong performances in terms of occupancy by four-star and Standard Apartment segments,” the report said.
