(MENAFN) Qatari developer United Development Company (UDC) has inked USD218 million contract to erect two office towers on The Pearl-Qatar, Arabian Business reported.
The contract was signed with an unnamed Qatari construction company to build the two Abraj Quartier Gateway Office buildings.
Abraj Quartier is one of the ten precincts that make up The Pearl-Qatar Island.
UDC said that the 201-metres high towers will comprise 40 floors each, and will have a building area of more than 230,000 sq m.
It added that construction work started in February and is expected to be completed by the end of January 2016.
Pearl Qatar is located 350 metres offshore of Doha’s West Bay District and is one of the largest urban developments in the Gulf.
