(MENAFN) Qatar Telecom (Qtel) said that it won a deal to provide telecoms services at the new Doha airport, reported Arabian Business.
The telecom provider added that until now, it has spent USD10.2 million on establishing the airport’s telecoms infrastructure.
On the other hand, an airport official said that 15 firms submitted bids for the contract, including Vodafone Qatar.
It is worth noting that the USD11 billion Doha airport, which would accommodate 50 million passengers annually, is scheduled to open in December.
