RAK Airways starts Islamabad route

(MENAFN) RAK Airways commenced its first flight from Ras Al Khaimah to Islamabad on August 4, Saudi Gazette reported.

The A320 plane took off from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport at 08:30 PM UAE local time carrying 150 passengers.

�This is our first entry into the capital of Pakistan and we are proud to say that our bookings on our weekly two flights look very encouraging. We are aspiring to see a significant rising curve of our passenger numbers with the introduction of Islamabad,� said President and CEO of RAK Airways, Murabit Al Sawaf.

With this addition, the Ras Al Khaimah-based carrier now flies to ten destinations including Jeddah, Doha and Cairo.
