RasGas finishes drilling in Barzan Gas Project

(MENAFN) Qatar’s RasGas Company Limited finished drilling in 30 offshore wells in the USD10.3 billion Barzan Gas Project, The Peninsula Qatar.

The completion of the drilling allows work to commence oiin connecting the wells with pipelines to bring the gas to shore.

“Highly sophisticated drilling technologies and techniques such as a Pressurized Mud Cap Drilling technique were successfully employed to address unique technical challenges allowing the wells to be drilled safely and efficiently,” said Dave Frye, Chief Subsurface and Technology Officer.

After the completion of the project, RasGas will have a production capacity of 11 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day.
