(MENAFN) Qatar’s volume of remittances is expected to boost by more than 15 percent by the end of the current year and reach USD15 billion, according to The Peninsula.
Qatar’s share of GCC remittance volumes forms a significant proportion, said Regional Vice President – Mena and AFPAK at Xpress Money, Pushpak Damania.
Damania said: “We estimate that there is increasing demand for migrant workers across various fields, particularly in the construction sector and this will further drive remittance growth.”
