(MENAFN) Renault Middle East Managing Director, Peyman Kargar, stated that the company’s sales in the GCC, Iraq and the Levant during the first quarter jumped by 18 percent to 3,847 units, reported Emirates 24/7.

Kargar added that in the GCC alone, the carmaker’s sales rose by 9 percent, ranking as the 4th-biggest European seller in the region.

He said that the company’s performance in the 6-country bloc was driven by strong demand for the Duster, the Renault Logan and the Renault Fluence.

It is worth noting that the French automaker’s sales in Iraq soared by 196 percent, while sales in the Levant gained 5 percent.
