(MENAFN) Qatar’s retail market witnessed an unprecedented growth by 14 percent in 2012, hitting USD10.8 billion driven by the strong growth of Qatar’s economy and population figures, Xinhua reported.
The growth resulted in making the retail rector the center stage of ‘Cityscape Qatar’ in its 2014 edition, which will be held this June with the aim of providing exhibitors with the best promotional platform to meet their corporate goals and target audience.
Many investors and developers from Qatar and abroad have registered in record number for the Cityscape Qatar Retail Forum, looking for opportunities in this sector.
“Retail trade has recorded average growth of 14 percent per annum over the last five years on the back of a rising population and economic expansion, to reach USD10.8 billion in 2012,” Group Director for Cityscape Qatar said.
