(MENAFN)Following the order of Airbus A330S, Air Oman has requested Trent 700 engines to function the ordered planes. The request was sent to the prestigious cars manufacturer Rolls Roys including durable total care services and support, times of Oman reported.
Air Oman hopes that the orders of such powerful planes and engines will help reinforce the performance of its fleet and result in more expansion and growth.
Oman Air Chief Technical Salim Al Kindy said: “Our new Airbus A330s will play an important role in Oman Air’s continued expansion and we are pleased that they will be powered by the outstanding Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine.”
On the other hand, Vice President Customers � Civil Large Engines for Rolls-Royce, Andrew Harper said: “Oman Air is an important Middle East customer and we are delighted it has once again shown its commitment to our products and services.”
It’s worth noting that the Trent 700 is the market leading engine for the Airbus A330, and powers Oman Air’s current fleet of four A330-200s and three A330-300s.
