(MENAFN) Korea National Oil Corporation announced that in August, Kuwaiti crude oil exports to the country reached 11.21 million barrels, reported Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The company said that the figure represents a 6.2-percent increase from last year’s same period.
Kuwait’s crude oil exports accounted for 13.9 percent of Korea’s oil imports in the month, down from 14.6 percent posted in 2011’s same period.
During the first 8 months of the year, Kuwait oil exports to South Korea grew by 33 percent from a year earlier, reaching 89.58 million barrels.
It is worth noting that in August, South Korea’s crude oil imports went up 11.2 percent to 80.46 million barrels, with Saudi remaining the country’s biggest supplier, with 870,000 bpd.
