Sahara subsidiary shutdown may lower profit in Q3

18 Aug 2014

(MENAFN) Saudi Sahara Petrochemical Company said that the shutdown in one of its subsidiary’s polypropylene output may decrease the company’s net profit in the July-September period, Arab News reported.

The shutdown, which happened at Al-Waha Petrochemicals, might lessen the profit by USD2.4 million, according to the company.

The unit where the shutdown occurred is now closed for maintenance after discovering a technical fault in it. However, the shutdown will only last for less than nine days.
