(MENAFN) Saudi Airlines Cargo reported a 26 percent increase in cargo volumes to 251,000 tons during the first half of the year compared to a year earlier, Arabian Business reported.
The freighter also reported a 25 percent increase in revenue during the same period.
The main contributors to the cargo growth were exports from Europe, East Africa and the UAE as well as cargo from freighter’s network into Saudi Arabia and West Africa, according to CEO Fahad Hammad.
In April, the company introduced new routes to Frankfurt, Vienna, Ho Chi Minh City and Dubai.
In the first six months of 2012, the business also increased its capacity to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Lagos, N’Djamena and Europe.
