(MENAFN) The president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said Saudi domestic airports have recorded a significant growth in the number of flights.
The Saudi airports handled 6,671,878 passengers until June 30, representing an 11.8 percent increase compared to 5,969,428 passengers logged in the same period of 2014.
In terms of flights, international flights recorded a total of 1,348,764 passengers with 28.8 percent increase compared to 1,063,837 passengers for the same period last year.
Meanwhile, domestic flights carried 5,085,864 passengers with 7.8 percent increase compared to 4,795,563 passengers for the same period last year, said a press release.
