Saudi Arabia, Mobily aim new smart city in Yanbu

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission of Yanbu in co-op with Bayanat Co., a subsidiary of telecom major, Mobily has proclaimed the launch of first smart city in Yanbu.
Additionally, the Royal Commission of Yanbu executed the telecom network infrastructure in co-op with Bayanat Co., which involves building and operating unified telecom and IT network.
Accordingly, the inauguration approved the leading role of Bayanat in the Saudi telecom sector and reflects the firm’s keenness to help added value economic projects.
Furthermore, more than 1.800 km of FTTH cables have been installed inside the city to link almost 15.000 housing units and 55 industrial units.
