Saudi Arabia plans to launch fifth international airport

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia will launch its fifth international airport, which will offer flights to Bahrain and Qatar, according to Arab News.

The new airport will compete with Al Ahsa Airport which already operates two to four flights per week, and was granted the international status by GACA two years ago.

The new airport will be located in the city of Al Hofuf in Eastern Province, which is less than two hours far from Dammam.
