(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia proclaimed plans to cut its dependence on foreign workers by employing only highly-technical workers and checking investments closely.
“The Kingdom will now be more selective in hiring foreign workers,” said finance minister, and it also made development in training and absorbing capable Saudi Professionals and workers.
He also added that, the plan to reduce its reliance on overseas workers is logical, while vowing to facilitate operation and completion all “projects in the pipeline like Riyadh Metro.”
Major labor exporting nations include India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and more than 125,000 US and Western emigrants also live and work in the kingdom.
