(MenaFn) Consumption of food is expected to reach 4.2 percent rise in Saudi Arabia by 2015 as a result of the growing population, life style shifts, and the rising income, according to Khaleej Times.
USD15 billion of the Saudi budget was allocated for the agricultural sector in the current year while the government coordinates between the public and private sectors to cover the people’s demand on agro-food products.
The kingdom will make a stimulating agro-food products’ exhibition in Riyadh this year, called Saudi Agriculture 2013, during the period from September 15 to September 18. The exhibition is expected to welcome a huge number of exhibitors from Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
