(MENAFN) The mutual venture between state oil giant Saudi Aramco and US Nabros Drilling Company, Sanad, will start commercial operations in Q3 of 2017.
As the Saudi Aramco was set up to own, operate and manage onshore drilling rigs in the country.
However, more than 5,000 people will be hired during the coming five years, raising the company’s ‘Saudization’ rate to 80%.
While Sanad is one of the largest joint ventures to be formed in the Kingdom, it will be committed to use land rigs in future manufactured in the Kingdom.
