Saudi beauty market targets USD 5.2bn for Italian brands

(MENAFN) Italian beauty brands will focus on the lucrative Middle East market as strong need from nations like UAE and Saudi Arabia keep Italy’s beauty exports on a growth path.

However, despite a decline in Europe, Italian beauty exports increased 11.3 percent in the Jan-June period of 2015, with exports of skincare, hair care to the UAE up by 34 Pct.

In addition, KSA is a key player for Italian cosmetics; which its beauty and wellness market was worth USD 5.2bn in 2015, making it a high-value destination for Italian products.

The Italian beauty industry emphasized the need to improve its global export markets, and to promote high-quality beauty and cosmetic products of which Italy is famous for.
