(MENAFN) Sales of Saudi cement companies fell by 3 percent to reach 4.59 million tons in February, down from 4.74 million tons in the same period in 2013, according to Arab News.
Sales dropped in ten out of the 14 cement firms operating in the kingdom. The highest drop in sales was in Jouf Cement Company (JCC) (26 percent), and Najran Cement Company (NCC) (24 percent).
Three other companies saw a rise in sales in February compared to the same period last year. Arabian Cement Company (ACC) and Safwa Cement Company (SCC) saw the highest rise in sales by 41 percent and 6 percent, respectively.
