Saudi controls 2.5% of world trade market in 2011

(MENAFN) The World Trade Organization (WTO) reported that last year, Saudi accounted for 2.5 percent of total global trade market, reported Arab News.

The WTO added that the value of the Kingdom’s merchandise trade in 2011 grew to USD365 billion, ranking the country at the 10th place on the global trade list.

On the other hand, the organization said that the UAE ranked 14th at global trade levels, with its trade in 2011 valued at USD285 billion, moreover, the country came in the second place in terms of Arab trade.

It is worth noting that the Gulf country of Kuwait came in the third place in Arab trade, whereas it ranked in the 25th place in the global list, with its trade value at USD95 billion.
