Saudi e-commerce grows 43 percent in Q1

(MENAFN) e-commerce growth in Saudi Arabia ranked first in the MENA region in the first quarter this year, according to Arabian Business.

The Kingdom posted a 43 percent growth in e-commerce during the quarter compared to 2013.

The quarter’s growth resulted from both domestic and cross-border e-commerce, which saw a 67 percent and 36 percent growth over the same period 2013, respectively.

Emerging as the leading categories for spending were general department store and airline transactions, followed by travel agencies, financial services and fashion retail.
