(MENAFN) Fertilizer production in Saudi Arabia continued to lead local capacity, with the kingdom accounting for 44 percent of the GCC manufacturing portfolio.
Additionally, the kingdom recent annual fertilizer production capacity is 16.7mn tons, which represents a capacity expansion of 51 percent over the last decade.
Accordingly, KSA led the Arabian Gulf in terms of production capacity of fertilizer capacity and trade, which added 9.6mn tons of new fertilizer capacity.
Meanwhile, the kingdom fertilizer products portfolio contains of ammonia (26pct), urea (28pct) and diammonium phosphate of 22 percent.
