Saudi healthcare sector to expand 9 percent by 2020

(MENAFN) The healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia is set to record a 9 percent expansion during the period from 2015 to 2020, according to a new research report ‘Saudi Arabian Healthcare Outlook 2020’, Saudi Gazette reported.

The Saudi Arabian healthcare sector significant growth is fuelled by increased government spending in healthcare, rise in population, increase in per capita income and growing healthcare projects.

The study of the industry also revealed that loosened investment rules, and compulsory healthcare insurance policies are to help the Saudi Arabian healthcare market to grow in the upcoming years.

In addition, the compulsory healthcare insurance and the thriving healthcare services in Haj seasons are some of the key factors that are motivating the healthcare industry in the Kingdom.
