Saudi mobile data to surge 60 percent per annum

(MENAFN) Mobile data traffic in Saudi Arabia is expected to expand 11-fold in the period between 2013 and 2018, Saudi Gazette reported.

Mobile data traffic growth in the Middle East and Africa is growing due to the fast growth of capable smartphones and tablets, increasing from 133 million in 2013 to 598 million in 2018.

Managing Director of Cisco Saudi Arabia said:”As our personal and business lives become increasingly mobile, MEA is really coming to the fore as early, widespread adopters of the latest smartphone and wearable technology.”

In Saudi Arabia, mobile data traffic will hit 170.3 Petabytes per month by 2018, the report said.
