25 Nov 2012

(MENAFN) Saudi Etihad Etisalat “Mobily” has launched the Middle East’s first LTE data roaming as part of its strives to keep its leadership in data services, Saudi Gazette reported.

The service will let Mobily customers enjoy the best quality and speed of data while roaming on other operators.

Few months ago, the company signed roaming agreement with Hong Kong’s CSL, CEO Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf said, adding that the interconnection between Mobily and CSL came through Telstra company in Australia.

Mobily said that it will leverage on its strong partnership with the other carriers to make the LTE data roaming available for Mobily customers wherever they travel.

Currently, the company’s LTE covers more than 33 cities across Saudi Arabia, representing about 85 percent of the populated areas.
