(MENAFN) Saudi director general of the General Organization for Grain Silos and Flour mills, Walid Al-Kheraiji, stated that once the new grain silos and flour mill project is operational, the Kingdom’s daily flour output capacity would grow by 600 tons, reported Arab News.

Prince Muhammad bin Nasser, Jazan Gov., laid the foundation stone for the grain silos and flour mill project, which is expected to guarantee ample supply of wheat, flour and fodders at reasonable prices.

Al-Kheraiji said that the USD149.12 million project also comprises a laboratory to test the quality of wheat and flour.

It is worth noting that the project would have a storage capacity of 120,000 tons of wheat.
