(MENAFN) Saudi nonoil exports dropped by 21.13 percent in June, 2015, to reach USD4.09 billion compared to USD5.19 billion in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Saudi imports fell by 9.92 percent to USD13.8 billion compared to USD15.32 billion in the same period last year, a report by the CDSI said.
The non-oil export plunge was attributed to the fall of the major commodities, which dropped by 33.6 percent to USD266.36 billion and chemical products by 27.5 percent to USD1.31 billion.
Similarly, June exports of plastic and rubber products fell to USD1.3 billion compared to USD1.66 billion in June 2014 (- 21.72 percent), the data showed.
