Saudi non-oil exports hike 6.4 percent in July

(MENAFN) Non-oil exports from Saudi Arabia increased in June by 6.4 percent compared to the same month last year, Arab News reported.

Exports in value during the month hit USD4.55 billion, although exports in weight dropped 9 percent to 3.8 megatons.

The value of imports in June increased to USD13.38 billion, or 0.2 percent versus the same month last year. The weight of imported goods dropped 3.4 percent to 6 megatons.

Plastic exports increased 22.7 percent in June over the previous year. Plastic accounted for 31.4 percent of the exported non-oil goods with USD1.43 billion. Chemical products accounted for 31.1 percent of the exported goods. Chemical exports dropped 10.8 percent compared to the prior-year period brining USD1.41 billion.
