(MENAFN) Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) signed an MoU with GE to co-found a joint venture that will encompass operations and maintenance (O&M) support to SEC’s power plants, Saudi Gazette reported.
GE will undertake an intermediate technology and coach the staff of SEC in order for them to fully excel while performing the O&M services. SEC wants the support to motivate the power plants actual production.
Presently, GE’s unconventional turbines are fully backing power generation in almost 40 sites of SEC in Saudi. GE has been present in Saudi for 80 years now with three offices and seven facilities, making Saudi stands as the largest GE workforce in the Middle East.
