(MENAFN) Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) unveiled plans to build three transformer stations across Saudi Arabia over the next 29 months, Arab News reported.
The company has already awarded a USD108.3 million contract to a local company to set up a 380/110/13.8KV transformer in Jeddah to meet demand there, CEO Ali bin Saleh Al-Barrak was quoted as saying.
SEC has also given a USD116.2 million contract to establish a 380KV transformer in Madinah.
A third contract worth USD126.25 million was also awarded to establish a 380/132KV transformer in Asir.
