Saudia becomes member of SkyTeam

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) inked a deal with top global alliance SkyTeam, giving access for its passengers to SkyTeam’s global network, Arab News reported.

SkyTeam member airlines operate 14,700 daily flights to 958 destinations in 173 countries.

Following this move, the national carrier became SkyTeam’s first member airline from the Middle East.

Prince Fahd bin Abdullah, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and chairman of Saudia, unveiled two Saudia aircraft featuring SkyTeam livery at the signing ceremony at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, according to the newspaper.
